    Dave McEwan - President

    Dave is the President and Managing Director of OrganoCat. He is responsible for the overall guidance and direction of the company as well as developing new business opportunities. He is a successful entrepreneur responsible for creating over 10 innovative companies.

    Dave is also President and majority shareholder of AST/Acme Inc. and its affiliated companies. Just prior to acquiring controlling interest of AST in 1993, he was Vice President and a Corporate Officer of Chemical Waste Management, Inc. from 1985 to 1992.

    From 1968 to 1985 Dave held a variety of positions at Borg Warner Corporation. After joining Borg Warner Chemicals in 1968, he held positions in Finance, Sales, Production and Marketing. In 1982, Dave moved to the York Air Conditioning division of Borg Warner Corporation where he was Vice President and General Manager of the Engineered Machinery Division.

    Alexander Ivanovich Shulgin, PhD – Vice President of Research & Development, Chief Scientist

    Few individuals have been called to address national and international disasters because of their scientific and technical expertise. Dr. Alexander Shulgin is one of those people, being instrumental in the development of solutions to clean up contaminated soils after the 1986 Chernobyl disaster and to develop innovative solutions to remediate crop soil contaminated with salt, hydro-carbons and other harmful organic material and pathogens in Louisiana after Hurricane Rita.

    Dr. Alexander Shulgin is responsible for research, technology and product direction and development for OrganoCat.

    Alexander is a native of the former Soviet Union and earned his doctorate in physics from the Moscow Mining Institute. In addition to being a researcher and professor, Alexander was the Deputy Department Chairman at the Moscow Mining Institute from 1984 to 1990. From 1991 to 1994, he was the Deputy General Director for Science and New Technology for Kubost. Dr. Shulgin held positions of President, General Director and Chief Scientist for several innovative companies including Special Biological Technologies, Special Bio-physical Technologies, EPHAT and New Ecology from 1994 to 2005. During this same period of time, Alexander was invited by large oil and gas companies and the Ministry of Energy to teach senior researchers and managers about applied science and technology – a strategic objective within Russia.

    More recently, Alexander was a senior executive in the work conducted by the CRADA Treaty with Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee by order of the U.S. Department of Energy to clean up landfills contaminated with heavy metals. Starting in 2005, Dr. Shulgin worked as a research professor at the University of Louisville. He led many important projects including R&D on remediation of damaged soils for brown field recovery, and on improvement of sewer system processes.

    Dr. Shulgin has over 50 patents, copyrights and inventions, and has authored or co-authored over 140 scientific and technical works, publications and reports.

    Jeff Sangalli – Vice President & General Manager

    Jeff is Vice President and General Manager responsible for business strategy, branding, product marketing, new business development, key client sales development and general management of OrganoCat. Since his appointment in 2009, Jeff has developed the strategic direction for OrganoCat, and has led the project management of technology commercialization with five successful product launches.

    Prior to joining OrganoCat, Jeff spent over 13 years at Lexmark International. His various leadership roles included strategic planning and innovation in R&D, product planning and development, WW supply/demand planning and fulfillment, and manufacturing and operations management, resulting in over $1B in supplies revenue and multiple awards from key suppliers like Wal-Mart, Best Buy and Dell. Jeff holds four US patents.
